Inadequate Eye Lashes

Conditions-Inadequate Eye Lashes

What can I do to get wink-worthy eyelashes?

Our eyes provide the focal point for around 90 percent of our face-to-face communication and they reveal much about a person.  Over the ages, long, dark eyelashes have also come to represent beauty, youth, elegance and glamour—the luxurious drapes that frame the windows to the soul!

People who suffer from short, thin, light or inadequate eyelashes often find that makeup doesn’t solve the problem.  Mascara can only do so much and false eyelashes can be inconvenient and messy. The Palmetto Skin & Laser Center provides eyelash thickening treatments that result in longer, thicker, darker lashes within weeks.  Patients can rest assured that their treatment is overseen by board-certified dermatologists whose results are proven by satisfied patients from all over Charlotte, Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Chester and Lancaster.

Because you're beautiful inside and out.

Who should consider lash and/or brow tinting?

Anyone who doesn't want the hassle of applying mascara or using their eye brow pencil!

  • Vacationers! Who wants to worry about makeup on vacation?
  • Pool- or Lake-goers! Imagine that freshly applied mascara-look after taking a refreshing dip in the lake or pool.
  • Wedding- or Sappy-Movie Attenders! Do you fear mascara running down your face?
  • Allergy Sufferers! Do your itchy, watery eyes from seasonal allergies make wearing mascara almost impossible?
  • Anyone who simply wants to enhance their light eyelashes and brows is also an ideal candidate.

How long does it take and how long should it last?
Expect the tint to take about 20 to 30 minutes. Depending on how "rough" you are with your eyelashes and eyebrows, it should last between 2-4 weeks. Perfect for vacation!

Will it make my eyelashes thicker or make them grow faster?
No. Tinting is just that - tinting. However, if you are interested in making your lashes grow longer, fuller, and darker, LATISSE (a new prescription product from Allergan) may be perfect for you. Our aesthetician, Hannah, can help you decide.

Grow your lashes LONGER, THICKER, DARKER with prescription LATISSE™ solution!

What is LATISSE ?
LATISSE™ is the first and only eyelash growth treatment to be approved by the FDA as being safe and effective. The makers of Botox and Juvederm also developed LATISSE™ for hypotrichosis, the medical term used to describe an inadequate amount of eyelashes. Hypotrichosis can be caused by a genetic disposition, childhood illness, medical conditions, and age. Whatever the reason, LATISSE can restore eyelashes to be thicker, fuller and darker.

How do I use it?
With a nightly application of LATISSE to the eyelid at the base of the eyelashes, eyelash growth is gradually stimulated, resulting in noticeably improved eyelashes after 2 months. However, if the use of LATISSE is discontinued, eyelashes will return to their original length and fullness.  Click here to see a video on how to apply Latisse.
