What are Warts?
Warts are skin growths caused by a virus. Warts on the hands and feet may grow inward from pressure and pain may develop.
Warts have a tendency to bleed when injured. Warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) which is contagious. There is no proven method to prevent the spread of the virus. It is known that the virus can spread from human contact and also from contact with infected objects. For this reason it is wise to use caution when walking around public restrooms, swimming pools, saunas, locker rooms, showers and in your private residence when someone in your household has warts.
